GWM Adviser Services Ltd; RTO Code 90780; is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that trades under the name ‘Adviser Campus’. GWM Adviser Services Ltd. trading as ‘Adviser Campus’ issues its RTO qualifications within the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).

Course Information


The Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) or DFS (FP) is a comprehensive program that covers the basic competencies a financial adviser must demonstrate to provide advice to clients. With a strong industry focus, this course delivers in-depth competency based training in financial planning, retirement planning, insurance planning, investment planning and wealth creation.

The DFS is a nationally recognised qualification and incorporates industry best practice in financial planning education. The Diploma also meets the requirements of RG146 and is listed on the ASIC Register of RG146 training courses.

Course structure
This course comprises four core modules:



Skills Assessment
A Skills simulation and assessment provides students with an opportunity to practice their newly gained knowledge in a 'real life client situation'. On completion of the four core modules students need to complete the Skills Assessment to be awarded with the Diploma.

Delivery Method
The DFS (FP) course is offered via Distance study at a cost of $545 per module (includes electronic course materials). The following Add-Ons are available to enhance Distance study as they increase flexibility and provide additional study assistance if required.



Assessment

The assessments for the DFS modules include: an individual assignment and a multiple choice exam. Participants must achieve a minimum pass mark of 70% in each element of the assessment, in order to be found competent for a module. All assessments for DFS are developed by Adviser Campus and marked by Kaplan.

Units of Competency

The units of competency included in this course are from the Financial Services Training Packages and were ratified by ANTA (Australian National Training Authority) in January 2003.

All participants in Adviser Campus courses are requested to access and review the relevant Commonwealth, State or Territory legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure they are fully informed of requirements that affect their participation in vocational education and training.
